15The heavenly radiance on the right represents
God. God is perfect and without sin. God loves
us. God does not want us to perish, but to have
everlasting life. But, our sins must be removed
in order to have eternal life with God.
Man in Sin is separated from God
16Christ on the Cross
The Bible says, God demonstrates His own love
for us, in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. (Romans 58) The Bible also
says that, God so loved the world that He gave
His one and only Son (Jesus), that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have
everlasting life. (John 316)
17Christ on the Cross
God loved us so much that He sent His only Son
Jesus Christ to earth as a man. God made Jesus
die on a cross to pay for our sins with His
blood. He took our sins into His body on the
cross so that we could come to God. (I Peter
224, 318)
18- Men buried Jesus in a tomb. (Mk 1542-47)
- They rolled a huge stone in front of it. (Mk
1547) - The soldiers guarded the tomb. (Mt 2762-66)
19- God sent an angel to roll away the huge stone (Mt
282) - God raised Jesus from the dead! (Acts 232)
- Soon afterward, God took Jesus back to heaven
(John 2017) - Jesus has paid the price for our sins, and Jesus
has conquered death. (Rev 117-18)
Christ is Risen
20The Cross is the Bridge to God Jesus is the
only way we can come to God. Jesus says in the
Bible, I am the way, and the truth, and the
life no one comes to the Father (God) except
through Me. (John 146) Through Jesus, we can be
forgiven of all our sins and be with God forever.
21The Cross is the Bridge to God But just knowing
about these things is not enough! We must choose
to put our faith in Jesus - to trust in Him to
save us from sin. (Eph 28-9) If you do not take
the step of trusting in Jesus, then your sins are
not removed! (Hebrews 42)
22The Choices Heaven Hell The Bible says that
whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life and is
not judged. But whoever does not believe in Jesus
has been judged already and the wrath of God
remains upon him! (John 316, 18, 36) The penalty
for sin is death, but eternal life through Jesus
is a free gift from God.
23The Choices Heaven Hell What choice will you
make? Trust in Jesus Christ to be forgiven and
have eternal life? (In Heaven top panel) Or
reject Jesus Christ and suffer eternal punishment
in fire? (In Hell bottom panel)
24Love God and All People You shall love the Lord
your God with all your heart, and with all your
soul, and with all your mind. This is the great
and foremost commandment. And a second is like
it you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
(Matthew 2236-40)
25Pray to God Constantly In prayer you can thank
and worship God, ask for His help, confess your
sins, and pray for others. Be anxious for
nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests
be made known to God.
26Study the Bible Daily Start with the Gospel of
John read chapter one each day. Like newborn
babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that
by it you may grow in respect to salvation... (I
Peter 22) If anyone loves Me, he will keep My
word Jesus in (John 1423)
27Meet With Other Christians God commands that
Christians meet regularly for worship, prayer,
Bible Study, and helping each other. ...not
forsaking our own assembling together, as is the
habit of some, but encouraging one another...
(Hebrews 1025)
28Tell Others About Jesus God wants us to tell
other people How to Have Eternal Life with God by
trusting in Jesus to save them from sin. You can
use the EvangeCube and the information from this
website to talk to others about Jesus! And He
(Jesus) said to them. Go into the world, and
preach the gospel to all creation. (Mark 1615)

own lusts or cravings. controlled by the sinful
nature. Man cannot fault the devil for his sin. - Gal. 517 For the flesh lusts against the

- Why pray? E.M. Bounds wrote, that prayerhelps
the mouth to utter the truth in its fullness and
freedom.
54The Spirit and Witnessing

- Only intentional follow-up will result in lasting
fruit (disciples) of evangelistic efforts. - What is follow-up? The means of contacting a
prospect. - Up to four weeks is effective follow-up.
- Follow-up evangelism is Biblical. John 4
57Who is to do it?
- Acts 13 15 18 Paul did follow-up evangelism on
all three journeys. - Acts 1419-20 In Lystra, Paul was stoned, and
went back. - Acts 1536 He returned to the Brethren and
visited them. - Acts 1421-22 Luke wrote about follow-up They
preached the good news in that city and won a
large number of disciples. Then they returned to
Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the
disciples and encouraging them to remain true to
the faith.
58The Experts say.
- Dr Thom Rainer, Dean of the Billy Graham School
of Missions and Evangelism and Church Growth
said, Effective evangelism results in fruit
bearing disciples in the local church. Evangelism
that results in free-floating converts with no
visible commitment to a local church is
ineffective evangelism.
59Three Step Process
- The three steps to effective follow-up are
- Educate
- Assimilate
- Evaluate
- Why do these three steps? Because
- Salvation is the front door to the church and
discipleship is the back door nailed shut. - Goal is to make Christians who are committed to
Jesus Christ!!!
60Form a Team
- Begin an evangelistic outreach strategy
- Form teams through Sunday School and Bible study
groups. - Age based evangelism produces better results.
- Best mentoring for evangelism discipleship takes
place in small groups.
61Step 1Educate in the gospel
- Person got saved and needs reaffirmation
- Review the decision.
- Encourage how to live for Jesus.
- Needs to get saved
- Follow up praying person will be saved.
- Restate the gospel.
- Explain any portion that seems confusing.
62Assimilation Process
- Surveys show that the most effective evangelistic
churches get new Christians involved into Bible
study groups. - Celebration Baptism
- Plugged into Sunday School or Bible study
- Assign a couple of individual to mentor.
- Ineffective Churches produce converts with no
commitment to the local church.
63Evaluation Process
- Find if anyone else in the home needs to hear
about Jesus. - Woman at the well, she went back told others
- Acts 16 Philippian Jailer took Paul to his home
and his whole family got saved. - Follow-up evangelism is returning to the home and
Educate, Assimilate and Evaluate

- Bible is our source for assimilating process
- Acts 2 is a model. Guidelines for assimilating
people into the church body. - Share the gospel, response time, immediate
follow-up, believers baptism. - What is ASSIMILATION? Just getting people
connected to the church. How?People connecting
with each other.

must spend at least 6 months discipling a new
believer. - Survey 2000- 23,000 to see 1 baptism. 73,000
to house baptistry - Jesus never intended to see us win souls and
leave alone to try to figure out the Christian
walk. - Jesus wants Committed Christians, not Pew
Potatoes.

- New Members Class, how the church works and what
is expected of them. - New Sunday School Class

first week after joining church. - 90 percent finished a ten week basic follow-up
class. - Only 70 percent finished if waited two weeks.
- Only 30 percent finished if waited 3 weeks.
- You must be intentional in mentoring new
believers in the things Jesus has commanded us to
obey (Matthew 2819-20)
69What to teach a new Christian?
- How to pray, spend with God.
- Personal Bible study time.
- Attend Church weekly. Sunday worship and Bible
Study. - Tithe, support Gods ministry on earth and in
heaven. - Witness as a lifestyle Witnessing is caught not

- He taught his disciples.
- John 135-51, Jesus first witnessed to his future
disciples.He personally witnessed wherever he
went. - Matthew 13 He expounded on witnessing and

glorify His Savior by telling others how He can
change their lives. - Reproduction, Matt. 2819-20 instructs us to
Make, Mark and Mature new disciples.

witnessing. - Mark means to be in the active mode of plugging
people into the Church and Bible Study. - Mature means to teach new believers how to live
for God and to tell others about Jesus. - Evidence of matured Christian? Fruit
