Upcoming changes
  • RI has announced that with the 2011 year GSE are
to be every 2 yrs, i.e. one year a District has
an inbound team, the next year they send their
outbound team(to the District they hosted the
    previous year).
  • However, Districts can choose to use their own
money to have the 2 teams in one year- each
    District contributes half the cost.

7
District 5370 and GSE
  • Our District has decided that for 2010- 2011 we
will maintain the traditional 2 team approach and
will be sending to and hosting D 9650
    (NSW-Australia)
  • Future directions from RI indicate that GSE will
be more project based. Districts will be
expected to contract with each other to provide
    appropriate vocational experiences

8
Why?
  • This will emphasize the intent of the GSE to be a
    vocational exchange
  • Not simply a show off our country/District/commu
    nity experience

9
Where to next?
  • 2010 April we send a team to D 4530-Brazil
  • 2010 May we host a team from D 4530-Brazil
