  • Demonstrate/investigate feasibilty of W
    divertor operation in baseline and advanced
    scenarios
  • Dedicated experiments as well as long term
    monitoring envisaged
  • Two extremes could hamper investigations
  • - strong negative impact of central W radiation
  • ? change of experiment strategy could be
    necessary
  • - no measurable influence of W
  • ? loss of interest by non experts, design of
    dedicated discharges
  • Supporting investigations on intrinsic impurities
    by injection of tracers
