taking turns doing various chores around the
    home.
  • Abuse can be classify in three areas emotional,
    physical, or sexual.

5

  • A crises (stressful situation) will always bring
changes of some type in the families life.
  • Teenage couples have a higher divorce rate than
older adults due to the fact of commitment level
    and maturity level.
  • If a parent loses his/her job, a teenage in the
house could help by getting a part time job.
  • The key to managing work, rest, and play is
maintaining a balance among the three.

6
Family Life
  • Leaving a note for others or writing a schedule
on a family calendar are examples of good
    communication.
  • Family members should show respect for others by
knocking on closed doors before entering.
  • Setting limits and teaching children appropriate
behavior is part of the socialization under
    family functions.

7
Family Life
  • Family conflicts occur when family members
    disagree with one another.
  • When families merge or blend and start to share a
home and resources together conflicts can occur.
Each individual must come to the knowledge that a
sacrifice(it is going to cost you) on their
part must be made and each person will have to
    compromise within the relationship.

    control your behavior.
  • Teens should take on their fair share of the home
    responsibilities (chores) because each person
contributes to the total makeup (needs) of the
    family.

problems get help when needed, look for positive
outcomes in all types of situations, and tackle
the problem together (unity) and not by yourself.

Family Life
  • The frequency of divorce in the US from the past
    20 years has increased.
  • If one family member abuses drugs or alcohol the
whole family is affected (the actions of one
family member will have influence on others in
    the household).
  • A major conflict (problem) is like having a
disagreement with your parent(s). You should
respect (give honor) the position (office) that
they hold in your life as being your
parent(s)(considering that they themselves are in
the right according to the law).
