3Plug in the analyzer to a standard wall outlet
4Attach laptop computer cable to the analyzer
5Turn on computer and load the analyzer software

6Turn on the the analyzer with the switch at the
back.
7Attach a printer to the computer and check to see
that it does print.
8Set the analyzer to the home position using the
computer

You can also use the button on the lower right
side of the analyzer. The pull rod at the center
of the table should move to its upper most
position.
10Slide up the large plastic shield at the front of
the analyzer and fold it back on the top of the
analyzer.
11Screw one end of the tensile testing sample 1/2
inch into the pull rod adapter that extends up at
the center of the analyzer table
12Slide the round hollow tensile testing attachment
down over the test sample and center it around
the pull rod on the table of the analyzer.
13Line up the upper end of the test sample thread
with the threaded hole in the knob of the
attachment. Thread the knob on to the test
sample about 1 / 2 inch
14Close the plastic shield on the analyzer so that
the two slots shown by the red arrows at the
bottom edge of the shield seat . The analyzer
will not work if the shield is not all the way
down.
15Select graph icon to show graph on the computer
screen
16Run the analyzer by selecting the start button.
If the sample should fail to break, the 1 inch
center section of the sample needs to be turned
down more.
17After the sample breaks click the print button on
the computer screen to print the graph.
18Raise the plastic shield and remove both ends of
the test sample. Repeat previous steps to test
the second sample.
