  • Align curriculum across educational segments to
    support students.
  • UC admissions based on a minimum of 15 academic
    courses known as the a-g subject requirements.
  • Pattern of a-g courses aims to
  • Prepare students to participate fully in their
    first-year program at the University.
  • Provide students with a general knowledge
    foundation for new and advanced study.
  • Help students develop critical thinking and
    analytical skills.

  • UC joined the states reform movement through the
    a-g course approval process.
