 The GS1 Philippines, Inc. (Formerly Philippine
Article Numbering Council, Inc.), which is
affiliated with the International Article
Numbering Association (EAN-International),
administers the system for the product, numbering
and for machine-readable bar codes, as well as
various associated systems. The system serves as
an unambiguous way to accurately identify every
production in any market in the world.

6- SUBSCRIPTION PROCEDURE
- IMPORTANT!!! FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ALL THE
REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN A DELAY OF PROCESSING - Step 1. Complete all the requirements.

- For EAN-7, EAN-8, and EAN-9
- Qualifications
- Authorized Capitalization exceeds PhP 1-Million,
OR - Number of products exceeds 100 variants/SKU's
(stock keeping units), OR - Number of employees exceeds 20 persons.
- Requirements
- SEC / CDA / DTI Registration,
- a. For Single Proprietorship DTI (including the
original application / renewal form or Form 16)
- b. For Corporation / Partnership / Cooperative
SEC / CDA (photocopy of all the pages of the
Articles of Incorporation / Cooperation and
By-laws) - 2. Fully filled-up Subscription Form and signed
License Agreement, and - 3. Audited Financial Statement for the previous
year (photocopy of all pages).
7For Small Company (EAN-10) Â Qualifications a.
Authorized Capitalization does not exceed PhP

AND c. Number of employees does not exceed 20
persons. Note A company may also apply to any
of the following subscriber associations,
provided that it is a member therein (1.)

Refiner'sAssociation, Inc.. Requirements 1.
Formal letter stating its membership or
non-membership to any Industry Association(s),
2. SEC / CDA / DTI Registration (photocopy),

16) b. For Corporation / Partnership /
Cooperative SEC / CDA (photocopy of all the
pages of the Articles of Incorporation /

and R5 (Payment remittances to SSS of the
company's employees, duly received by SSS) if
the company has no R3 and R5, submit a letter
stating the reason why the company has no R3 and
R5, and 5. Fully filled-up Subscription Form and
signed License Agreement
8Step 2. Pay the corresponding fees (as of Feb
2006).
9Approval and Other Subscription ConditionsGS1
Philippines allocates a maximum of two (2)
working days in issuing the Subscription
Certificate, provided that all required documents
and fees are adequately met. Having subscribed to
GS1 Philippines, the entrance and annual fees
will not be refunded for any reason.Payments
can be made by cash or check. Applicants can pay
directly to GS1 Philippines office at 20 San
Rafael St., Bo. Kapitolyo, Pasig City or have the
payment delivered by postal service. Companies
outside of Metro Manila can deposit payment to
any Union Bank branch through CA
00-001-007648-7, or Bank of Philippine Islands
branch through CA 3191-0438-89, both with the
Account Name GS1 Philippines, Inc.
Subscription is issued for a period of twelve
(12) months upon acceptance by GS1 Philippines
and renewable every year thereafter. Failure to
renew subscription by paying the applicable
annual fees for the period of eighteen (18)
months or 1-½ years will automatically cancel
your subscription.
10Seminar for New Subscribers
New Subscribers are asked to attend a seminar on
Introduction to Barcoding scheduled every other
month (please confirm date and time). A Regular
Subscriber may send one (1) representative
to attend for free. Every additional attendee
will have to pay PhP 300.00. Non-subscribers who
wish to attend will be charged PhP 600.00 per
attendee. The EANUCC Company Prefix is
allocated for the subscriber's exclusive use and
must NOT be assigned, licensed or allow its use
by any other company. Sharing of EANUCC Company
Prefix is not allowed. Subscription Forms may be
