  • Two or more independent clauses joined with a

  • Example

Complex Sentences

    subordinating conjunction.
  • Example

  • Has a dependent clause and at least two
    independent clauses.
  • Examples
  • When the heat comes, the lakes dry up, and
    farmers know crops will fail.
