• The General Idea of this movie is the
  Peloponnesian Wars and why they matter

Why my Movie?

• The Peloponnesian Wars are Important because they
  helped to shape the development of the world

Audience

• The targeted Audience of this Movie would be
  teens around 13-15 same age they would be
  learning this in school

Groups and their enemies

• The groups in these wars were the Delian League,
  the Peloponnesian League, Persia and Egypt
• The Delian League was enemies with all but Egypt
• The Peloponnesian League was enemies with all
• Persia was enemies with all
• Egypt was enemies with all except the Delian
  League

Why the wars started

• The wars started all because of a man named
  Aristogoras
• Aristogoras was ruler of Miletus a port city in
  Persia
• Aristogoras wanted more power so he attacked an
  island called Naxos
• His attack failed and fearing he would be in
  trouble with the King of Persia, he defected to
  Athens so Miletus became an Athenian city
• There is a little more to it but that is why the
  wars started at first

Why does this matter to Greece

• This matters to Greece because if the wars had
  been lost by Greece we would be living in a
  different world
• How different no one can say for sure
• The modern world is heavily influenced by Greece
  and had Greece been destroyed
• The world would be utterly different

Agreements and Conflicts

• Agreements
• It was agreed by the Greeks that is the Delian
  League and the Peloponnesian League that Persia
  was a common enemy

• Conflicts
• Conflicts included who should be leader of the
  Greek forces Athens always wants to be best
  Sparta was the better military group

Sparta Vs. Athens

• Sparta
• Land based war attack crops and Athenian allies
• Force traditional Hoplite battle had more people

• Athens
• Sea based battle attack coastal cities, sacrifice
  land locked cities and surrounding area
• Fewer people rely on sea trade

Hoplite Phalanx

• A Hoplite Phalanxe is a group of soldiers with
  spears to stab and shields to defend the
  advantage to a Hoplite is it is very defensive
  and a very efficient offensive tactic

Notable Battles

• Some notable battles are the ones at Marathon and
  Thermoplaye
• Marathon was a very important battle it decided
  if Persia would win or if Greece would fight
  another day
