2Objective of the MS Panel
- The panel is an open discussion about activities
that are planned, ongoing, or accomplished in
terms of the collection and implementation of
common DE MS tools and the standardization of DE
TE processes providing the data for such tools.
- Where are we and where are we going in Directed
Energy MS? - How can MS analysis of weapon system
effectiveness against present and future targets
support investment strategies for weapon system
development? - While speakers will address a review of the
present status of these activities, the primary
goal is to identify existing needs and shortfalls
in DE MS/TE tools and processes.

- Common DE tools presently in use and their
application - V VA Activities accomplished, or underway
- Near term needs to extend the present state
- Applications of DE MS for weaponeering /
Targeteering - Use of MS to develop system requirements for DoD
programs - Use of MS to compare current capabilities vs DE
(laser HPM) capabilities (using DE attributes) - Underlying data that supports DE MS
- Target Identification
- Target Test Processes/Methodologies
- Data Collection/Archiving/data sharing (Joint
Models, Data Bases) - Insertion into MS and Analysis Tools
