BASIC INFORMATION

• Students from 3 to 12 years old.
• 475 students from middle-class families.
• 35 teachers.
• The town has 8,000 inhabitants. There are 2
  nurseries, 2 infant and primary schools and a
  secondary school.
• Catalan is the language of most families, though
  often one of the parent' first language is
  Spanish.

RADIO

• All primary students have a regular weekly
  session to produce part of a radio programme.
• The older ones help the teacher to edit the final
  programme and put it on the school website.
• Audacity is the software that we use.
• News about the school, interviews and songs are
  common in the programmes.

PHOTOGRAPHY

• 3rd and 4th grade is when they start taking
  pictures with the cameras.
• They select the photos and use them to give
  information about different things.
• They often use powerpoint.
• There is a workshop to make plastimovies.

• In 5th and 6th grade they use the video cameras.
• The objective is either to produce a report about
  their environment or to make a short film where
  they are the actors.

• Some classes have their own blog.
• The Catalan Education Departament's website XTEC
  is used for educational games.
• The school web is used by the pupils' families to
