General Tips

• IB is not worried about thesis statements. Get
  to the point quickly. A topic sentence would be
  helpful.
• The questions are completely separate. DO NOT
  try to link them together with transitions.
• Read the question carefully and give what is
  being asked. No extra points are given for
  information that does not relate to the question!
• Use the marks as a guide for how long each
  answer should be. MARKS POINTS!

• These questions relate to the success of
  Reconstruction.
• Simple enough. This is what your are dealing
  with on this DBQ. All questions relate to it.
  Your answer will relate to it.

• Answer each question individually!
• Do not try to tie the two together.
• Begin with a topic sentence to identify the
  question, but dont worry about an entire intro
  paragraph.

• Value How can this document benefit historians
  studying the time period
• Limitation How does this document restrict the
  historians understanding.
• Only address the documents mentioned in the
  question!

4. Using these sources and your own knowledge,
explain to what extent you agree with the
assertion that Radical Reconstruction was largely
successful, that it reached it goals. 8 marks

• Make sure to draw on your knowledge
• Support with information from ALL of the other
  sources.
• This is worth more points therefore, plan to
  spend more time!!!
