Supplemental Figure 1 The reaction of surfactant
A (0.3 (w/v)) with separated lipoprotein
fractions (0.5 mL, each) from normal and
hypertriglyceridemia subjects by HPLC determined
by the cholesterol assay. Cholesterol remained in
LDL (fraction 11-17) fractions after treatment
with surfactant A, while triglyceride-rich
lipoprotein (TRL) (1-10) and high density
lipoprotein (HDL) (18-27) were undetected in both
subjects.
