- In your groups, I want you to create a mind-map
of what is media. You will be brainstorming.

Rihanna, etc.) - Level 4- Your groups will be able to identify and
explain in detail the purposes of the different
types of media your group will be able to come
up with a definition of media studies. (Media
studies is...) - How is that type of media used? (e.g., for
entertainment, for information, to be able to
relate to it.)

- Media Studies is the study of the mass
media/popular culture e.g. magazines T.V film
radio comics popular music websites computer
games - Mass media The methods of communication used to
reach large numbers of people at the same time
TV, newspapers, radio, magazines, films, books,
the internet, etc. - Simple definition it is how we communicate in
the 21st century!
