- Employed and unemployed learnership/apprenticeship
s targets exceeded by 31 - SMME support exceeded target by 37
- Established two ISOEs, one in Vredenburg to
support the Saldanha Bay fabrication hub in the
repair and manufacturing of offshore oil rigs and
one in Eastern Cape, Midlands Uitenhage to
support the COEGA IDZ - Sponsored the training of 11 students in India on
the design, development and manufacturing of
tooling.

five identified sectors in the PGDP - Merseta is the convenor of the manufacturing
working group - Merseta is involve in the set of Provincial
Skills development Coordinating Forum - Merseta participates in the Coega development
programme - Supported the recommendation for NSF funding from
the Province - Mpumalanga and Limpopo
- Partnered with the Provincial department of
Public Works and Road and Transport on the
implementation of Learnerships - Supported the recommendation for NSF funding from
the Province
