• Prokaryotes lacking a cell nucleus or
  organelles
• Less than 10-100x smaller than the human cell
• Unicellular made of only one cell
• One chromosome and one plasmid
• Chromosome controls the formation of the
  bacteria
• Plasmid controls the day to day functions of
  the bacteria

• Reproduce by binary fission splitting into two
• 1. Pili a tube that exchanges plasmids between
  bacteria cells
• Have flagella and cilia
• Flagella Whip like tail
• Cilia Oar like projections
