Line Graphs

• Useful for showing how dependent variables are
  affected by the independent variable

• x-axis is used for the independent variable
• y-axis is used for the dependent variable
• Be sure to choose a scale that makes the graph
  readable and covers the entire range of data
  points

Bar Graphs

• Useful for comparing information collected by
  counting.

• Useful for showing how some fixed quantity is
  broken down into parts.
• Each slice is usually represented as a percentage
  of the total
