greatest and most distressing paradoxes of human
history that the greatest intolerance and
violence of that century were practice by those
who believed that religion caused intolerance and
violence.

- They want to portray the evils of those who
were motivated to kill to create an atheistic
utopia, as an anomaly (something not generally
characteristic of secularism or atheism). Yet
every effort at creating an atheistic state has
lead to mass murder. You cannot separate the evil
they created from the atheistic worldview they
held.

71Dr. William Coulson
- "But we didn't have a doctrine of evil. (Abraham)
Maslow saw that we failed to understand the
reality of evil in the human life. When we
implied to people that they could trust their
impulses, they also understood us to mean that
they could trust their evil impulses, that they
weren't really evil. But they were evil."
72Dr. William Coulson
- "Humanistic psychology, the kind that has
virtually taken over the Church in America, and
dominates so many forms of aberrant education
like sex education, and drug education, holds
that the most important source of authority is
within you, that you must listen to yourself."
73Dr. William Coulson
- "Maslow believed in evil, and we didn't. Maslow
said there was danger in our thinking and acting
as if there were no paranoids or psychopaths or
SOB's to mess things up.

75APPLICATION
- Pride is the source of all evil. It is what
prompted Satan to rebel against God and deceive
his angels and men to follow him.
76APPLICATION
- Evil has a force behind it in the spiritual
realm. It is not simply a matter of self esteem
or gaining information. We cannot educate people
out of doing evil.
77APPLICATION
- Greater is he that is in you than he that is in
the world. We must learn to resist temptation
and pursue virtue in spite of the intellectual
and emotional forces that move us otherwise.
