• The rules of soccer in 5 (a game with 5 players
  per team)are taken from soccer in 11 (the
  regular game with 11 players per team) with the
  adaptations that have become necessary to
  guarantee a greater speed to the game. The main
  differences with soccer in 11 are
• Dimensions of the field the official minimal
  dimensions are of 32x18 meters (at the amateur
  levels the size can come down also until 25x15),
  those principles of 42x25.
• ball the size of the ball is smaller than the
  official size soccer ball, it is between 62 and
  64 cm and weighs between 400 and 440 gr the ball
  used during the official competitions has a
  controlled bounce the regulations require that
  letting the ball fall to the ground from a height
  of 2 m it must bounce between 50 and 65 cm.
• The team players there are 5 players per team
  including the goalkeeper. There are also 7 on the
  bench. The substitutions are unlimited during the
  match.
• The duration of the match in a national match
  there are 2 half times which last 20 minutes
  each. In an amateur match there are 2 half times
  which last 30 minutes each.
• Throw insthere are not over head throw ins but
  the balls is placed in corrispondance of the
  white lateral line.
• The goalkeeper he can touch the ball for only 4
  seconds in his half field. the ball must go into
  the opponents half field before he can touch
  again the ball.

The italian boys like playing soccer in 5,
because they like having fun together. The real
reason is that there is no space, to create
fields for soccer in 11. Alessandro and I play
soccer in 5 once a week. We call another 8
friends to play and then we book the field. We
can play in the afternoon but also in the evening
for 1 hour,and we spend 5 euros a head for a
total of 50 euros.
