• Savannas have warm temperatures year round.
• They only get 4 inches of rain in the dry season.
• They get about 15-25 inches of rain in the wet
  season.

• There are two different seasons, a very long dry
  season (winter) and a very wet season (summer).

  amounts of rain
• And this low average amount of rainfall leads
  plants to cover more area to better there chance
  of survival

of food for carnivores, like lions, leopards,
cheetahs, jackals and hyenas

• The savanna is about one quarter size of Canada.
• A savanna is a rolling grassland scattered with
  grasses and shrubs and isolated trees.
