7The first portable analog synthesizer
8(No Transcript)
9In 1970 Moog Music Inc. released the first
portable analog synthesizer designed for touring
musicians.
10This was the first synthesizer that was
lightweight, portable, and was able to imitate
other instruments.
11It had three Voltage Controlled Oscillators
(VCOs), and the patent, Moog Ladder filter
which gave it the phat funky sounds most other
synthesizers could not obtain. Moog Music did a
wonderful job shrinking everything down to a very
convenient size.
12Rocker switches allow rapid sound transformation
13 Rocker Decay switch allows simultaneous
sustain while playing The 2nd and 3rd
oscillators can be tuned up and down up to seven
octaves
14 The main output switch can be turned off for on
stage tuning using the fine tune knob
15THE MINIMOOG EVOLUTION
The Model A was the last model that was a modular
look a like.
16THE MINIMOOG EVOLUTION
The C and D Models featured slightly different
pitch and mod wheels. Other than that they were
mostly the same aside from cosmetic differences.

Moog Music inc. and the MiniMoog have played a
huge role in the progression of music through the
past 50 years or so, and will continue to do so
as long as the name Moog stays around. The
MiniMoog absolutely changed the face music for
the better. Rick Wakeman
