    Industrial SAgricultural) Many Northerners are
    also going to view slavery as wrong (central need
    for the South) Tariff of Abominations made
    European goods more expensive (Encouraged you to
    buy Northern goods)

  • With Lincolns election South Carolina began the
    secession of southern states
  • Secede means to withdraw from
  • The Southern States assumed Lincoln would try to
    stop slavery although his campaign promise was
    to stop the EXPANSION of Slavery
