Welcome to Third Grade!
  • I will introduce you to third grade and to our
    classroom.
  • If you have any questions during my presentation,
    please let me know.

A Little About Me
  • My background
  • I grew up in Raynham, MA and attended
    Bridgewater- Raynham Regional High School. I ran
    Cross Country, Winter Track and Spring Track all
    four years.
  • I attended Assumption College. I majored in
    Social Rehabilitation Services with a
    concentration in Education. At Assumption, I ran
    Cross Country for two years and volunteered in
    the Worcester Public School System for 3 years.

A Little About Me
  • I attended Lesley University where I received my
    masters in Reading. I also attended Bridgewater
    State College where I received a certificate to
    teach technology. I also completed a program to
    become a National Geographic Teacher Consultant.
  • My experience in Foxborough
  • Ive been teaching for 15 years.
  • I taught fourth grade for seven years and this is
    my eight year teaching third grade.
  • I have worked on many curriculum development
    committees, the Taylor School Council and the
    district technology committee.

  • To give students the academic and social skills
    you need to progress to fourth grade.
  • To provide a supportive and fun classroom
    environment.
  • To help students make new friends and discover
    new interests.

    well without much effort?3.  Do you know and
    understand almost every word?4.  Can you read
    it smoothly and fluently without much practice or
    effort?

    that you don't recognize or know the meaning?
     Remember the five finger test.2.  Are you
    confused about what is happening in most of the
    book?3.  When you read are you struggling and
    does it sound choppy?4.  Is everyone busy and

Field Trips
  • We have lots of fun field trips planned for this
    year! Sometimes we wont even have to leave the
    building!
