  • Learning outcomes The student becomes familiar
    with the hierarchy of the building information
    models and different ways of using it building
    processes and is able to use building information
    modeling with different software applications and
    understands the basic differences between design
    model and building information model.
  • Contents Creating a building information model
    and modifying a design model according to the
    building information model instructions. Making
    use of the building information model in
    different steps of house building and design.
  • In practise One class/academic year 25
    students. The students will
  • get familiar with different models of design
    (HVAC, electricity) and different architect
    models created with programs like Revit and
    Archicad
  • practice creating a simple model with the main
    aim in quantities
  • produce and transfer quantities from a modell
    both to excel and to costs calculation programms
  • get familiar with combination and fitting
    together of different models and collision
    detection of systems
  • get familiar with Tekla structural model
    structure and its practical use e.g. time
    scheduling in a project
  • get familiar with the practical use of BIM in
    prefabrication of conrete strcuctures
