19Purpose
- Assist soldiers with transitioning from active
duty. - Ensure all soldiers, to include chapters, are
counseled in a timely manner prior to release
from Active Duty. - Explain continued service options special
programs, features and benefits. - Understand and explain the mandatory appointment
process. - Mandatory briefing at Transition Point 120 days
prior to ETS.
20Appointment Process
- Soldiers should schedule an appointment NLT 90
days prior to ETS. - Soldiers do not need orders to see a counselor.
- Interviews are conducted by appointment.
- Regulatory guidance interviews are mandatory.
Soldiers will not clear Transition without
completing the appointment process.
