  • Situation
  • Young man is with girlfriend and they become too
    passionate. The young man stops and tells his
    girlfriend that what they are doing is wrong.
  • Good Person stops what they are doing but is
    not necessarily happy about it.
  • Virtuous Person stops what they are doing and
    is joyful about it.
  • How to acquire virtue
  • Hard work and perseverance
  • Checking resist impulses for what is not good.
  • Commanding focus mentally on the pleasing
    aspects of the good acts and the displeasing
    aspects of the bad acts.
  • Acting do what is right regardless of what your
    feelings tell you.
  • Examining reflect on your impulses and actions
    to see what your weak areas are.
