Title: POR QU DEBEMOS ORGANIZARNOS EN PEQUEOS GRUPOS

1
SHOULD WE BE ORGANIZED INTO SMALL GROUPS?

The Bible presents the small group as an
effective form of organization and administration.
2
MOSES IS AN EXAMPLE
  • A. Moses alone could not lead, administrate and
solve all the problems encountered among the
    children of Israel.
  • The divine counsel that he received through
his father-in-law Jethro was to organize the
people into groups of one thousand, one hundred,
    fifty and ten.
  • Exodus 1813-27.

3
THE EXAMPLE OF JESUS
  • B. According to Matthew 101-4, Jesus started the
establishment of His Kingdom with a small group
of 12 apostles. This is how the Christian church
started to spread the message of salvation.
  • Jesus chose and called His disciples, except
Judas. He trained them for true Christian
    leadership.
  • Then He sent them to fulfil the Evangelization
    Mission..

4
THE EXAMPLE OF THE APOSTLES
  • And they, continuing daily with one accord in
the temple, and breaking bread from house to
house, did eat their meat with gladness and
singleness of heart. Praising God, and having
favour with all the people. And the Lord added to
the church daily such as should be saved. (Acts
    246, 47)
  • 1. They persevered unitedly in the temple and
    in the houses.
  • 2. Their worship services were known to be of
praise to God and with much joy, but with
    simplicity of heart.
  • 3. And they grew in number and in character.

5
The Church Prayed for the Apostle Peter
  • And when he had considered the thing, he came
into the house of Mary the mother of John, whose
surname was Mark where many were
  • Gathered together praying (Acts 1212).
  • Here we find the brethren gathered together as a
family, praying for the Apostle Peter.
  • The first Christian congregations met in private
    homes.
  • The meeting in small groups united them
    emotionally, spiritually and physically.

6
THEY WOULD ORGANIZE IN THE HOMES
Likewise greet the church that is in their
house (Rom. 165). And to our beloved Apphia,
and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the
church in thy house (Philemon 2). Salute the
brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and
the church which is in his house (Colossians
415)

E. G. WHITE AND SGs
The formation of small companies as a basis of
Christian effort has been presented to me by One
who cannot err (Testimony Treasures, vol. 3, p.
84).
8
Well-organized Groups
Let there be in every church, well-organized
companies of workers to labor in the vicinity of
that church (Christian Service, p. 72). Let
small companies assemble in the evening, at noon,
or in the early morning to study the Bible. Let
them have a season of prayer, that they may be
strengthened, enlightened, and sanctified by the
Holy Spirit. If you yourselves will open the door
to receive it... (Higher Power, p. 923).
9
Organize yourselves into SGs to serve
In our churches let companies be formed for
service. Let the different ones unite in labor as
fishers of men. Let them seek to gather souls
from the corruption of the world into the saving
purity of Christs love (Testimony Treasures,
vol. 3, p. 84).
10
Organize yourselves into SGs to work
If there is a large number in the church, let
the members be formed into small companies, to
work not only for the church members, but for
unbelievers. If in one place there are only two
or three who know the truth let them form
themselves into a band of workers (Testimony
Treasures, vol., p. 84).
11
Souls are won in SGs
The presentation of Christ in the family, by the
fireside, and in small gatherings in private
houses, is often more successful in winning souls
to Jesus than are sermons delivered in the open
air, to the moving throng, or even in halls or
churches Gospel Workers, p. 193).
12
Summary
1. It is a divine plan. It is shown in the Old
and New Testaments, as well as in the Spirit of
Prophecy. 2. There are better results in soul
winning for Christ. 3. It produces revival in
the churches. 4. Church members are confirmed in
the Adventist faith. 5. It is a genuine school
in the formation of leaders. 6. The flock of
the Lord is better cared for, therefore,
APOSTASY diminishes
