    Students choose from
  • Pathway 1 1 GCSE from each of Expressive Arts,
    Humanities and Languages
  • Pathway 2 2 Expressive Arts or 2 Humanities or
    2 Languages, plus 1 from the two areas not chosen
    as specialism

  • Personalised Learning is presented as a choice
    of 4 learning pathways, each worth the
    equivalent of 3 GCSEs and taught in 15 periods of
    time. Students choose from
  • Pathway 3 1 from ICT or PE/Dance, plus 2 from
    Expressive Arts, Humanities or Languages (but not
    two from any one area)
  • Pathway 4 Diploma in BAF or IT or SHD plus one
    from Expressive Arts, Humanities, Languages,
    ICT, PE or Dance

  • In many subjects students can follow
  • A two year GCSE course in Years 9 and 10, or
  • A three year GCSE programme offering additional
    support and enrichment
  • With an appropriate balance between 2 and 3 year
    courses reflecting individual capability,
    motivation and interests

  • Students who complete GCSEs in Y10 may
  • Start an AS level course
  • Study additional GCSEs
  • Follow a GCSE to AS bridging course
  • eg Art, Languages, Humanities
  • Study a genuine enrichment course eg
    Young Enterprise, Sports Leader Award, National
    Theatre Drama
