13- CASE STUDY

PROJECT) TO A REGIONAL TOURISM PROGRAMME (THE
TAMBACOUNDA REGION SENEGAL )

training, certificate recognized by the State) - Welcoming tourists training course

16Partnership between the cooperative and a
Tour Operator
Making sure that the project appeals to private
companies
The French Tour Operator Nouvelles Frontières was
part of the creation of the tourism product
This is an interesting partnership because
unlike many relationships with NGOs the
objectives are not financially based. We operate
without ignoring the market, and Tétraktys helps
us to have an overall view of local development
and local projects, said Samy Bailly (NF
manager). This partnership has been in
operation since 2003 and Nouvelles Frontières
offers tours to Eastern Senegal dropping in on
the Dindefello eco-camp. Source Novethic
