The Problem

• At the Meramec State, Natural caverns have been
  the victims of human disruption.
• Thousands of broken stalagmite and stalactite
  pieces litter the floor of the natural caverns.
• Reconstruction efforts are in place, but they are
  tedious projects, relying on the hand-matching of
  broken pieces.

Problems to Solve

• Gathering the Surface Data.
• Photographic?
• Phosphorous Powder??
• Reconstructing the Surfaces
• Surfaces are going to be inexact matches to each
  other, we will need some kind of probabilistic
  matching algorithm.
