From 1 July 2006 360 million will be available
over 4 years for the very long-term
unemployed to
- Provide more opportunities to find work
- Increase participation and engagement if avoiding
work

- JNMs will conduct a review of the job seekers
circumstances following ISca 2 - This review will determine which way the job
seeker is streamed
- Comprehensive Work Capacity Assessments
(CWCAs) - Full time Work for the Dole - Wage
Assist - Ongoing Job Network

- Triggered by completing a Change of Circumstances
through the JSCI - Conducted by Work Capacity Assessors
- Determines

- - work capacity
- - intervention needs
- - referral options for job seekers

To ensure sufficient referral options are
available additional places have been created in
- Disability Open Employment Services
- Vocational Rehabilitation
- Personal Support Programme
12Full-time Work for the Dole
- For job seekers assessed as not demonstrating a
genuine commitment to their job search - 25 hours of work experience activities per week
for 10 months - 16,500 VLTU WfD places per year for three years
and 10,000 each year thereafter
13Full-time Work for the Dole cont.
- Intensive Support bi-monthly contacts
- Retain access to the JSKA
- Access to a Training credit of up to 800
- Job seekers may be precluded from income support
payments for up to 8 weeks for not attending full
time Work for the Dole projects without a valid
reason
14Wage Assist
- 15,000 places available over three years
- Wage subsidies for full-time work placements
- A minimum of 13 and maximum of 26 weeks
employment - Up to 4,600 may be paid through the JSKA for
each Wage Assist place
15Wage Assist cont.
- For job seekers who have demonstrated a genuine
commitment to their job search - For JNMs
- IS Outcomes fees are available
- Retain access to the JSKA
- Intensive Support bi-monthly contacts and post
placement support
16Ongoing Job Network
- Intensive Support bi-monthly contacts
- Allowing for referrals to complementary
programmes and CWCAs at any time where
appropriate - Retain access to JSKA
- Attract substantial IS Outcomes fees
