8Background of Pupils
- There are 11 pupils that are piloting the
diploma. They - are low achievers (predominately level 3 in KS3
SATs) - have poor attendance
- have poor behaviour
- come from deprived backgrounds
- are on the special needs register School

- Increase in group attendance by 8.3
- 6 students have attendance above 90
- 1 student has 100 attendance
- Decrease in total number of exclusions from 23
days to 5 days

- All pupils have completed Princes Trust ASDAN
Award - 2 pupils are currently on a vocational placement
one day per week in bricklaying - All pupils will have a one day a week placement
in a vocational area from September

13What I have found that works
- Personalised learning make it appropriate to
the student - Engage with different organisations and agencies
to see if they can help - Try and get pupils out of school to take part in
different activities they really enjoy new
experiences even though they may me a bit
nervous - Above all have FUN!!!!
