Burn a DATA CD
  • Burning a data CD is different than a music CD.
  • Generally a music CD will play automatically,
    whereas a data CD is simply filled with
    information or images that is waiting to be moved
    to the computer desktop

Opening the Program
  • Go to Startgt Programs and open your CD creator
    program.
  • You should get a screen that looks a lot like this

  • First, there is a source area - you find browse
    to the files you want to burn here. Click on the
    files to make them active (choosing more than
    one? hold your ctrl key)

    to move your files to in order to create the CD.

    the source area to the project area.

Be patient while CD burns!
  • You should get a dialog box like this, Click OK
    button to start burn.
  • The program will tell you when it is finished!

Troubleshooting
  • The CD software automatically chooses the speed
    to burn the CD at. This speed is sometimes too
    fast for your computer memory. You may need to
    change it.
  • The CD you are burning to may be dirty or
    scratched. Clean it and try again.
  • Still doesnt work? Try a fresh CD.
