National Plan on OSS 2002-2007

• Approaches
• Government bodies involved meet regularly for
  project monitoring and evaluation
• Free software working group responsible for
  collaborations among different government bodies
• Develop a cross-strait cooperation mechanism to
  work on Chinese language of OSS platform and
  application
• Establish a friendly environment for OSS,
  including compatibility testing, demonstration
  projects, industrial standard, education
  personnel training, government procurement, legal
  analysis and assistance, and international
  cooperation
• MOEAIDB sponsor a 5 year cross-department Alisan
  Sunrise Project leveraging resources to
  cultivate Linux programmers and produce Linux
  certificated software/hardware products.
