• General information

• Saransky TV Plant is one of the biggest
• production facilities of the former USSR.
• Project capacity of the plant allows to
• produce up to 1,5 - 2 mln. units of durable
• consumer goods annually. In terms of the
• design and structure it resembles
• Rubin TV Plant in Moscow.

• Currently the plant is a property of Sistema
  JSFC,
• which is the biggest corporation in Russia
• working in high-tech field (2 bln. turnover in
  2002,
• see also www.sistema.ru). After it was
  incorporated
• into Sistema JSFC, the plant has passed the
• procedures of the improvement of its financial
  and
• personnel structures, and trough necessary
• refurbishment of production lines. Currently the
• plant is a successful production facility,
  characterized
• by the stable growth rates of production and
  sales, is
• highly manageable, and financially transparent.

2. Location, and Market

• Saransky TV Plant is located in the city of
• Saransk (population 0,3 mln.), which is
• administrative center of the Republic of
• Mordovia (population 1.5 mln.).
• Republic of Mordovia is located in the
• center of Privolzhsky administrative
• sector (population 32 mln.),
• which nabours
• W Central administrative sector
• (population 37,3 mln.),
• S Southern administrative sector
• (population 21,6 mln.),
• E - Uralsky administrative sector

3. Territory and production sites

• The total land area of the plant is 22.398
  square kilometers.
• Production sites include 10 main shops, which
  are separately standing rectangular buildings,
• which by dimensions resemble Manezh exhibition
  building in Moscow, separated by asphalted
• streets, and main office facility, which is a
  long 7- strory building. Buildings are brick or
  iron-
• concrete with the brick lining.
• Constructed in 1978 (age-24 years). Good
  condition. The plant is located within the city
  territory.
• All buildings are steam heated (conditioning
  is not required, since climate resembles that in
• Norway), heat is provided by the plants own
  steam production facility, buildings are provided
  with
• heat consumption controls.
• Each building has all necessary power supply
  to support large scale production, and each has
• independent power circuit, which allows to pursue
  individual monitoring of power consumption for
• each production site.
• The plant has its own internal telephone
  station and Internet line.
• The plant also has to supermarkets for the
  durable consumer goods (mostly sell electronics
  and
• furniture). One, located in the center of the
  city, the other is the outer part of Main Office
  building.

4. Self territory pavement. Transportation
channels
Self territory pavement

• The plant territory which is free from the
  buildings (internal streets and pass ways) is
• covered by asphalt or heavy-duty concrete
  pavement.
• Pavement is in good condition. There also is a
  big parking place in outer front of the
• main office for 1000 cars.

Transportation channels
The plant has its own 1800 m long railway, which
directly connects its production facilities to
the National railway network. So, produced goods
can be loaded straightly to railway containers,
and their delivery by railway does not require
the use of any additional transportation. Access
to the National highway transportation system is
provided by the asphalted 2-way road ( 1 km),
which connects the plant and the closest
interstate highway.

• The plant has 33 units of transportation means
  and cargo machinery, including
• several units of big cargo processing machinery,
  warehouse loading cars, as well
• as 24 various vehicles for goods delivery and
  people transportation.

• The plant has the total of 8 thousand units of
  machinery and equipment, including
• 400 units of big production machinery.
• Plant production sites with naming their
  specialization and annual one-shift

5.1 Mechanical processing of metals, including
cutting bending stamping ark, contact, point
and argon welding thermal processing in ovens

5.3 Wood processing, including cutting, sowing,
edge processing, etc., as well as laminating with
wood, polychlorvynil film, textured paper, and
plastic film, lacquer covering and polishing, and
furniture assembly. Production area (for only

5.4 Packaging, Printing Foam polystyrol. The
plant has its own full-cycle facility for
producing foam plastic (polystyrol) blocks of
shapes and sizes fitting the packed product,
which is essential for providing high quality
packaging, that can ensure both safe
transportation of ready furniture blocks, and
customer convenience during the home
assembly. Production area 950
sq.m. Productivity 523 t. Carton. The plant
also has capabilities for producing carton boxes
of various sizes, and carton printing facilities
to put necessary labels and advertisement
information on them. Client brochures The plant
has heavy-duty printing facilities with
capability to provide high number issue of thick
client brochures, using just paper in rolls as a
