Rome had 2 consuls that shared equal power. The
consuls are similar to our president. Before
this, ancient Rome was ruled by emperors. A
famous emperor was Augustus.

aqueducts, which is an irrigation system. A
famous building in ancient Rome was the
Colosseum. Gladiator fights and chariot races
took place there.

hilly, and rocky.
