Music Performance Class

• Graded class that offers the student more in
  depth instruction and prepares the student for
  High School Expectations. Grade 8 Elective

What is Junior Band ?

• Training ground where incoming sixth grade and
  new instrumental students develop the necessary
  skills to succeed in the WIS Band.
• Students will be informally auditioned and will
  need to perform simple proficiencies to move
  ahead (see handout)

Band Schedule

• Junior Band meets on Tuesday and Thursday
  mornings during Unit Support and daily during the
  B section of Lunch Study.
• Full Band meets on Mon, Wed and optional Fri
  mornings during Unit support. Band also meets
  daily during the A section of Lunch/Study

Brass/Wind Quartet

• Two separate groups formed in Late October to
  perform seasonal music in Dec.
• Performances will be held during Lunch/Study and
  in Foyer.
• Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays after school
