Project Descriptions and Deliverables

• Allows you to look at the project in decomposed
  form (e.g. parts) and estimate the effort of some
  or all of the pieces
• Analogy to some known experience
• Do a quick calculation/prototype
• Think about the unknowns and needed buffering
• Use Function Point or COCOMO as an aid

• Show the methodology or methodologies used
• May take a weighted average
• Explain/Justify your methodology
• Methodology will need to articulate the size of
  the deliverable in some form
• Size/productivity effort
