worship today is in seeking an experience rather
than seeking God.

through Jesus Christ. And this gave him great
pleasure - Eph 15

been saved, through faith-- and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by
works,so that no one can boast.
16Worship Requires that I Surrender My Life to the
Object of My Devotion
17The reason why so many are still troubled, still
seeking, still making little forward progress is
because they still havent come to the end of
themselves. Were still trying to give orders,
and interfering with Gods work within us.A.W.

18Worship Requires that I Surrender My Life to the
Object of My Devotion
- Worship is a spiritual reality for all people.
Its a fact. We all do it. What I worship is the
thing that separates us. That is my choice.
19The truth is everybody worships something. You
were wired to worship by God. He put it in your
DNA. You couldnt stop worshipping if you had to,
because it is part of being a human. Everybody
worships something. Thats why you can go to any
culture in the world and find people worshipping.
If you dont worship God, believe me, youre
going to find a substitute real quick, even if it
is just yourself.
20Worship Requires that I Surrender My Life to the
Object of My Devotion
- Worship is a spiritual reality for all people.
Its a fact. We all do it. What I worship is the
thing that separates us. That is my choice. - I will not find true pleasure and peace by
surrendering my life to anything or anyone but
God the Father.
21Deuteronomy 1312-16
If you hear it said about one of the towns the
LORD your God is giving you to live in that
wicked men have arisen among you and have led the
people of their town astray, saying, "Let us go
and worship other gods" (gods you have not
known), Gather all the plunder of the town into
the middle of the public square and completely
burn the town and all its plunder as a whole
burnt offering to the LORD your God. It is to
remain a ruin forever, never to be rebuilt.
22Exodus 2333
Do not let them live in your land, or they will
cause you to sin against me, because the worship
of their gods will certainly be a snare to you."
23Deuteronomy 2918
Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or
tribe among you today whose heart turns away from
the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of
those nations make sure there is no root among
you that produces such bitter poison.
24Judges 212
They forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers,
who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed
and worshiped various gods of the peoples around
them. They provoked the LORD to anger.
25Judges 218-19
Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for them, he
was with the judge and saved them out of the
hands of their enemies as long as the judge
lived for the LORD had compassion on them as
they groaned under those who oppressed and
afflicted them. But when the judge died, the
people returned to ways even more corrupt than
those of their fathers, following other gods and
serving and worshiping them. They refused to give
up their evil practices and stubborn ways.
262 Kings 1738-41
Do not forget the covenant I have made with you,
and do not worship other gods. Rather, worship
the LORD your God it is he who will deliver you
from the hand of all your enemies. They would
not listen, however, but persisted in their
former practices. Even while these people were
worshiping the LORD, they were serving their
idols. To this day their children and
grandchildren continue to do as their fathers
did.
27Once I get this straightthe subject of worship
effects every area of my life by changing how I
think.
