2Where to Find Information
- T.E.C. information is either on the T.E.C. boards
(located in the main office) or by forwarded
e-mails. - You can also access training opportunities on the
LCS Staff Development website.
3Major Responsibilities of a T.E.C. Representative
- Help to coordinate on-going in-service
- Assist the bookkeeper in tracking the budget
allotted for the school - Assist teachers with the guidelines and
requirements for submitting requests for
resources and/or credit

- Receive and disseminate to school personnel
in-service, recertification, grant any other
pertinent information - Assist with the annual Staff Development Needs

5My Responsibilities Do Not Include
- Signing you up for workshops/conferences. Please
register yourself. - I cannot check your points. I do not have access
on my computer. Please use the LCS website to do
this or call the T.E.C. office for assistance.

- 3. I cannot help you fill out the salmon colored
(credit) forms. I did not attend your workshop. I
can, however, provide you with the Master Plan
notebook for component numbers and objectives. - 4. I cannot provide you with the blue sign in
sheets unless I am the trainer. The trainer must
fill out a special form requested from T.E.C. If
they approve, they will send the trainer blue
sheets. I will pass on blue sheets to the
technology committee, but it is the trainers
responsibility to make sure participants sign in.
7Staff Development Funds
- IMPORTANT Staff Development funds may only be
used for Staff Development materials, activities,
and services.

curriculum development - - Books/materials, duplicating and supplies for
Staff Development in-service training workshops - - Registration fees for seminars, conferences,
and workshops.
9- If you have been approved to use TEC funds for
subs, please write T.E.C. largely in the top
right corner of your leave form.

13Travel to Out of State Conferences and Workshops
- ALL out of state travel for which any district
funds are requested must be approved by your
principal and your Executive Director PRIOR to
making any travel arrangements. - Out of State Travel Request form MUST be attached
to your Request for Reimbursement form or the
request will not be processed. - DO NOT PAY PLANE TICKET WITHOUT GETTING THIS
APPROVED FIRST!

When to Use - Anytime someone is requesting funds from your school T.E.C. - Used for conferences, non-district workshops, travel How The individual requesting funds must give all of the following to the T.E.C. Rep Individual Prior Approval, Signed Leave Request, and Agenda Who is Responsible Individual requesting funds Approval shown by signature of principal and T.E.C. Rep.
16Green Sheet Information
- I will refill the green sheets for prior
approval every few months. - If you take the last one, please e-mail me to let
me know that we need a refill. - I also have other prior approval forms for
administrators, etc. Simply send me an e-mail and
I will place it in your box.
17- If you are attending a conference with other
Gilchrist teachers, please make an appointment
with me before or after school. We can work on
the green sheets together as much as possible.
