General objectives of the Roma integration

Methodology in the trainings provided for the
officers of labour centers
  • The programme decrease ethnic based
    frustration, objective to recognise a potential
    conflict situation and to manage it in the best
    way
  • Essential interpersonal directness, increasing
    identity (authonomy), increasing
    inclusion-capacity, tolerance and in the same
    time deconstruction of stereotypes, development
    of new, advanced problem solving capacities,
    strategies, value scale evolution in a human
    oriented direction
  • The groups extended cohesion among members,
    solidarity, the pshychodramatical group-games of
    Lewin closed groups (determination of roles)
  • Control methods After and before the trainings
    a personal and an emphaty test was done. 3 months
    after (follow-up test/ethnic conflict measuring
    test)
  • Measuring the strategies used upon conflict
    situations

Results
  • Increased chance to build consensus and result
    oriented contacts between Roma and non-Roma
  • Decreasing number of etchnic based conflicts in
    the centers
  • Facing non conscious feelings, stereotypes,
    actions
  • Prejudice, intolerance and dicrimination towards
    Roma become a decreasing tendence
  • Ensure the possibility of equal treatment, level
    of service and conflict prevention
  • Increasing the quality of partnership between
    roma communities and the public administration
  • Ensure an easy acces to the equal level of
    services for Roma

Sustainability
  • The evaluation seminar stated
  • The achived positive behaviour strategy towards
    Roma can be transferred in the center, depending
    on how strong is the trainings programme
    efficiency
  • The community based achivements can be maintained
    by chief officers (group leaders)
  • The inclusion of the Roma in the public service
    is needed and one of the most relevant elements
    of sustainability (regional roma
    employment-service assistant)

Sustainability
  • The financial sources only by national funds
    (central budget etc.) are still not present
  • The transnational experiences, best practices,
    know-hows (e.g. Sweden national hearings) are
    further needed to build capacity
  • Awareness raising must be included in the
    national curricula of the public administration
    examination system (basic-advanced)
  • Multidimensional partnerships must be
    strenghtened
