3Your High School Transcript
- Check your transcript for accuracy of the
following information - Name and Address
- Credits and Grades earned (repeats, grade
changes, etc) - Graduation Status
- Off-Campus classes
- Review your transcript and graduation status
using Aeries - Obtain an unofficial copy from a Counseling
Secretary in the Counseling Office. - Review the tutorial on How to Read Your
Transcript

5Off-Campus Courses
- If you decide to take an off-campus course, AND
want the course to appear on your CCA transcript,
follow all of the steps below - Speak with your alpha-counselor PRIOR to
registering for an off-campus course to determine
if the course will meet grad requirements and if
adding the course to your transcript will benefit
you. - Submit an OFF-CAMPUS PERMISSION FORM and obtain
all signatures (student, counselor, registrar,
and parent). - Once you have completed the course, it is YOUR
responsibility to have an official transcript
sent to the CCA Registrar from the institution
where you took the course. - Students can apply a maximum of 30 credits
off-campus coursework to their high school
transcript. - There are some exceptions to this rule. See
your counselor for guidance.
6Summer School
- You should take summer school if
- Your earned an F in a course needed for high
school graduation or a D in a prerequisite course
that will allow you to move to the next level
course - OR
- You earn a D or F grade in a course needed to
meet college entrance requirements. Colleges
will not count a D grade as passing in a required
subject. Students with a D grade in a required
course need to repeat the course in order to be
eligible to apply to a private, UC or CSU
college - Detailed summer school information will be
available in March 2009

- Take the PSAT (Pre-SAT)
- -11th graders can qualify as a National Merit
Semi-Finalist - eligible for scholarships and
possible automatic admissions to participating
universities - Take the PLAN (Pre-ACT)
- -A career interest inventory portion can help
your student identify possible career paths and
majors to consider after high school. - We recommend that students take BOTH pre-tests to
see which test suits them best!

Requirements
- Admission requirements vary by institution, but
most follow similar UC/CSU guidelines in terms of
subject requirements and test requirements - Students should check with individual campuses
admissions offices or visit their websites to
determine current admission requirements

- Entrance Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age OR
- Earned a high school diploma OR
- Earned the equivalency of a high school diploma

- How do I take classes at a community college
while at CCA? - 1. Fill out a concurrent enrollment form
available in the college - career center

- A community college representative is on campus
in the College Career Center to answer any

catalogues, attend college visits, speak to

Go to the Naviance link located on the Counseling
webpage. Your screen should look like this
22To register for the first time, type your 6-digit
CCA student ID number in the New User? box
23The next screen should look like this (if it does
NOT, talk to your counselor)
241. Enter your e-mail addressand make SURE it is
one that you actually USE! 2. CONFIRM your
e-mail address. 3. Make up a password, one that
you will REMEMBER! Many students use their
ID. 4. CONFIRM your password.
25Read the Privacy Statement, accept it, and click
the Complete Registration button.
26If you registered correctly, the screen you get
next should look something like this (with YOUR
name after the Welcome, introduction).
