• WHAT IS A CRITICAL INCIDENT?
• A critical incident may be defined as any unusual
  or threatening event which could be contentious
  or dangerous and may include
• Death or serious injury (or threat of) to a
  student or staff member (eg suicide or attempted
  suicide)
• Parent issues
• Problematic sexual behaviour
• Intervention or action by Police or other
  agencies causing disruption
• Intruders
• Use of weapons on the site
• Disaster eg fire/flood
• Drug incidents
