How does it work ?

• 130 camera's within the City centre
• 110 further camera's covering the arterial routes
  from the City
• 20x Digital zoom optical lenses
• All images converted to digital data and fed into
  IBM 70 tera bites Tape Storage
• Stored for 31 days or 7 years in evidence locker

Aims

• Crime Reduction Partnerships deploy CCTV in areas
  identified in local Crime audits as having
  significant crime and disorder problems.
• Develop a knowledge base on how CCTV can most
  effectively contribute to reducing crime and
  disorder.
• Support delivery of local Crime Reduction
  Strategies and assist towards the Government's
  overall aim of reducing crime and the fear of
  crime.Specific target of reducing vehicle crime
  by 30
