Life in the Country

• Most of Chinas people were farmers
• They lived in mud houses that stood on earthen
  platforms.
• The houses had tile or thatched roofs.
• Farmers lived together so they can both work in
  the fields together

The wealthy

• Wealthy farmers had strong oxen to pull carts.
• The carts were made with iron tips to strengthen
  it.
• Simple machines were used to carry water to the
  fields

• Poor farmers worked with wooden hand tools.
• The poor farmers had to carry the water to his
  fields.
• He used a pole and put it over his shoulders and
  put 2 buckets of water of the ends
