Title: Gods Heart
1Gods Heart
- (Jeremiah 2911-13) For I know the plans I have
for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope
and a future
Gods Heart
2Gods Heart
- (Jeremiah 2911-13) Then You will call upon Me
and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you
3Gods Heart
- (Jeremiah 2911-13) You will seek Me and find Me
when you seek Me with all your heart.
4Gods Heart
- (Exo 346-7) And the LORD passed in front of
Moses, proclaiming, "The LORD, the LORD, the
compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger,
abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining
love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness,
rebellion and sin."
5Gods Heart
- (Psa 1038-13) The LORD is compassionate and
gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He
will not always accuse, nor will He harbor His
anger forever He does not treat us as our sins
deserve or repay us according to our iniquities
6Gods Heart
- (Psa 1038-13) For as high as the heavens are
above the earth, so great is His love for those
who fear Him as far as the east is from the
west, so far has He removed our transgressions
from us. As a father has compassion on His
children, so the LORD has compassion on those who
fear Him.
7Gods Heart
Gods
Heart
- (Psalms 3410) The lions may grow weak and
hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good
thing.

8Dealing with
ed by Jealousy
(1 Samuel 161-2) The LORD said to Samuel, "How
long will you mourn for Saul, since I have
rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn
with oil and be on your way I am sending you to
Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons
to be king."
(Acts 1322) After removing Saul, God made David
their king. He testified concerning him 'I have
found David son of Jesse a man after My own
heart...'

9Obscured by Jealousy
- (1 Samuel 161-2) But Samuel said, "How can I
go? Saul will hear about it and kill me."
(Proverbs 274) Anger is cruel and fury
overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
Do not be surprised
Seekers will always
provoke Jealousy
10Obscured by Jealousy
- (2 Timothy 312-13) In fact, everyone who wants
to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be
persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go
from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
so we seek Gods heart not
Do not be surprised
because it makes us feel good
Seekers will always
but because its true
provoke Jealousy
11Obscured by Jealousy
- (1 Samuel 162-7) The LORD said, "Take a heifer
with you and say, 'I have come to sacrifice to
the LORD.' Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I
will show you what to do. You are to anoint for
Me the one I indicate." Samuel did what the LORD
said
12Obscured by Prejudice
- (1 Samuel 162-7) When Jesse and his sons
arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, "Surely
the Lord's anointed stands here before the LORD."
But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do
not consider his appearance or his height, for I
have rejected him
13Obscured by Prejudice
- (1 Samuel 162-7) The LORD does not look at the
things man looks at. Man looks at the outward
appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."
We seek Gods heart not because it impresses
anyone
Dont be dismayed when
Appearance overshadows Substance
but because Hes the only Audience that matters
14Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) Then Jesse called Abinadab
and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel
said, "The LORD has not chosen this one either."
Obscured by Neglect
15Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) Jesse then had Shammah pass
by, but Samuel said, "Nor has the LORD chosen
this one"
16Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) Jesse had seven of his sons
pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, "The
LORD has not chosen these"
17Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) So he asked Jesse, "Are
these all the sons you have?" "There is still the
youngest," Jesse answered, "but he is tending the
sheep."
"There is still the youngest," Jesse answered,
"but he is tending the sheep."
18Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) Samuel said, "Send for him
we will not sit down until he arrives." So he
sent and had him brought in
19Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) He was ruddy, with a fine
appearance and handsome features. Then the LORD
said, "Rise and anoint him he is the one"
20Obscured by Neglect
- (1 Samuel 168-13) So Samuel took the horn of
oil and anointed him in the presence of his
brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the
LORD came upon David in power.
As you seek His heart
It is the Lord who seeks you out and anoints you
Do not be bitter when
We feel the cold and hurtful
hand of neglect
for Himself
21- (Psalms 2710) Though my father and mother
forsake me, the LORD will take me up.
22- (2 Timothy 416-17) At my first defense, no one
came to my support, but everyone deserted me. But
the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength
and I was delivered from the lion's mouth.
