3Workspace Prioritization Session - Goals
- Prioritization refers to, in general, the
development of high-level functional
requirements, scoping and sequencing of
activities for each Workspace. - While broad requirements and needs areas have
already been identified for each Workspace, this
exercise will provide a greater level of detail
to ensure integration within the Workspace,
according to an agreed upon schedule. - Prioritization activities will have a slightly
different focus for each Workspace due to the
differing focus of the Workspaces themselves.
4Workspace Focus
- The focus of the Vocabularies and Common Data
Elements Workspace is - Create and maintain software systems for content
development and content delivery. Typical
activities would include develop software to edit
and deliver vocabulary content - Develop new content for addition to vocabulary
and common data elements - Evaluating and making recommendations for data
and vocabulary content standards.
5Workspace Prioritization Activities
- Review the tools and projects presented during
the Developer Center Presentations. - Identify high-level functional requirements for
tools that would promote community collaboration - For each tool, sequence the high-level functional
requirements in order of importance or
dependency. Identify which high-level functional
requirements represent the most critical need to
the research community or are dependent on other
functionality being developed first. - Define next steps for each project area
- Discuss broader goals of identifying, approving,
and implementing CDE and vocabulary standards - Identify applicable tools, projects
- Discuss role for NCI tools and coordination with
other proposed tools, projects - Identify any related requirements, and
sequencing. - Discuss next steps for Action Plan.
