General Statement

• They were once found all over Australia, but are
  now found only in Tasmania.

Appearance

• Tasmanian Devils are black with a white mark on
  the chest and rump. They look like a small to a
  medium sized solid dog. They have a short tail.

Habitat

• Tasmanian devil live in forests in Tasmania.

Diet and Habits

• They eat meat from birds and reptiles. They can
  bite through bones and they growl and screech,
  but rarely injure each other. They usually
  scavenge and eat animals that are already dead.

Life cycle and stages of Growth

• Tasmanian Devils grow slowly. A female gives
  birth, to a litter of two or three pups.
