3Gods Word Comes to Abram

- After these things the word of the Lord came to
Abram in a vision, saying, Do not fear, Abram, I
am a shield to you Your reward shall be very
great.

Childless

- Abram said, O Lord God, what will You give me,
since I am childless, and the heir of my house is
Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Since You
have given no offspring to me, one born in my
house is my heir.
5The Seed Promise is Reiterated

- Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him,
saying, This man will not be your heir but one
who will come forth from your own body, he shall
be your heir.

wickedness of these nations that the Lord is
dispossessing them before you.

uprightness of your heart that you are going to
possess their land, but it is because of the
wickedness of these nations that the Lord your
God is driving them out before you, in order to
confirm the oath which the Lord swore to your
fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of
God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the
fathers for the gifts and the calling of God are
irrevocable.
