Text Structure
  • Text structure is the way a piece of writing is
organized. There are two main kinds of writing,
    fiction and nonfiction.
  • Fiction tells stories of people and events that
an author creates. Fiction is usually organized
by the order in which things happen.
  • Nonfiction tells of real people and events or
tells information about the real world. Some
ways to organize nonfiction are cause and effect,
problem and solution, and comparison and contrast.
